The game is a fantastic value. Not only is it free, but the design is really good overall, and while yes the micro transactions can give you an advantage you can certainly become powerful just by playing the game itself. I play very few games on mobile, but this is one of the few that has really impressed. It is worth mentioning that you need pretty good hardware to run the game. Snapdragon 625 struggles with it a bit, but it's certainly playable. Anything less and I think it would struggle quite a bit.

Overall love this game. Very lazily done, a lot of the special move animations are copy/pasted from other characters, frequently, new characters will just be an exact copy of an existing one but with a different card art, at least games like one piece treasure cruise try to make each individual character iteration unique in some way. Yes, I get it, the kamehameha is goku's signature move, thanks for giving the same version of it to nearly every version of Goku, that isn't boring at all. To their credit, they ARE getting a little better at this, but it still occurs quite frequently. Still, to me, this is the game's single greatest flaw.
The global version of this game continuously gets shafted compared to the Japanese version. Unless you're paying for stones, good luck trying to get good cards. You're gonna have to save up like I did to get something good. They don't help with celebrations or 'compensations' by giving 1 stone a day. For the highly anticipated Int Super Gogeta banner, they make it 10 stones for 3 cards, 20 for 5, and 40 for 10 and then a free one after that instead of just being all discounts for 10 stones.
Bandai can take this game and shove it up their asses. Bandai has a habit of treating the Global Playerbase with a lot less love than the Japanese Playerbase, to the extent where they will nerf banners on Global where they were much better on JP.
They don't release cards or gamemodes that JP got ages before us (Exception of this is Heroes, due to licensing). And sometimes they will release cards with only half of their abilities, forcing us to wait months before we get the full card. Again, JP gets the full thing at once. It is quickly becoming a P2P game, although it is better than it once was The game itself isn't that bad. If you enjoy Dragon Ball and don't mind grinding away for a few hours every once in a while, then it's perfectly enjoyable. But download the JP version instead. You'll get the content you want, when you want there.
Google how to get it, it's not that hard. Bandai needs to improve GLB Players time spent, as many of us spend money on this, and get treated like trash in return. It's your call, Bandai. Everything about this game is cool, except when it comes to the players amount of stones.
